Fit

Struct Fit

pub struct Fit {
    pub width: Sizing,
    pub height: Sizing,
    pub aspect: Option<f32>,
    pub align: Option<Align>,
}
Expand description

How a child is sized in each axis, and its aspect ratio.

Fields§

§width: Sizing§height: Sizing§aspect: Option<f32>

Width divided by height.

§align: Option<Align>

Placement across the container’s cross axis, when it is not the container’s own.

Implementations§

§

impl Fit

pub const fn hug() -> Fit

pub const fn fill(weight: f32) -> Fit

Fill the space on both axes, by weight along the container’s main axis.

pub const fn width(self, sizing: Sizing) -> Fit

Set the sizing along the inline axis.

pub const fn height(self, sizing: Sizing) -> Fit

Set the sizing along the block axis.

pub const fn aspect(self, ratio: f32) -> Fit

pub const fn align(self, align: Align) -> Fit

pub fn apply(&self, style: &mut Style, main: Axis, rem: f32)

The bounds and weights of this fit written onto a wrapper style of a container running along main, with rem logical pixels to a rem.

An aspect decides the block size from the inline one. Taffy derives one size from the other only where the known one is definite in the style, so the ratio itself is applied out of the solved sizes (Arranged::derive_aspects); here a weight on the block axis is left out, since a share of the room is not the size the ratio asked for.
