Module capture_studio
Expand description
The capture tool: one see-through bar to take a screenshot, record, or float a live picture in picture of a selection, a window, the screen or the strip.
The bar holds two segmented controls (what comes out, what it is of), the shutter and an options popover; nothing else. A capture is of a thing, never of pixels at a position: a window is captured whole wherever it is, a selection made inside a window stays anchored to that window, and only a selection that is not inside any window is a region of the screen. Pixel readback stays in the compositor; this widget emits semantic intents.
