Struct Follow
pub struct Follow;Expand description
Something following a stream of samples it does not control (a peer’s pointer, heard about
thirty times a second): between two samples it glides over the gap so it arrives as the next is
due (Self::glide), and when the stream goes quiet it fades over the caller’s retirement
window. It has no token: the pace is the data’s own.
Implementations§
§impl Follow
impl Follow
pub const APPROACH: MotionSpec
pub const APPROACH: MotionSpec
An agent’s pointer travelling to the control it is about to act on,
so the person sees where it acts: slow, longer across the screen.
Reduced motion: it is there at once.
pub const GLIDE_MAX: Duration
pub const GLIDE_MAX: Duration
The longest a glide between two samples takes, so a pointer that sat still goes where it was just put without drifting lazily there; a stream heard thirty times a second glides about 33 ms.
pub const FADE: Duration
pub const FADE: Duration
How long something whose stream went quiet takes to fade out, at the end of its owner’s retirement window.
