ChainPager

Struct ChainPager

Source
pub struct ChainPager<P: Chained> { /* private fields */ }
Expand description

Where a view stands reading back through a chain. See the module docs (self).

Implementations§

Source§

impl<P: Chained> ChainPager<P>

Source

pub fn new(chain: Chain<P>) -> Self

Source

pub fn chain(&self) -> &Chain<P>

Source

pub fn oldest(&self) -> Option<u64>

The oldest part held or asked for; None while nothing was written to the chain.

Source

pub fn has_earlier(&self) -> bool

Whether the chain has parts before the oldest held or asked for.

Source

pub fn arriving(&self) -> bool

Whether a part asked for is still on its way from the workspace.

Source

pub fn unavailable(&self) -> bool

Whether a part asked for is not available from the workspace’s hosts: it is not coming until that changes, and nothing before it is asked for.

Source

pub fn loading(&self) -> bool

Whether the view shows a place for earlier items above what it holds: there are earlier parts, or one asked for is not here.

Source

pub fn asked(&self) -> Option<&ArrivalClock>

When the part on its way was asked for, and from where: what a view’s placeholder for it steps through (ui_core::widget::ArrivalFace). None while nothing is on its way.

Source

pub fn reached_top(&mut self)

The reader came to the top of what is held: the next settle pass opens the part before.

Source

pub fn seek(&mut self, found: impl Fn(&P::State) -> bool + 'static)

Look for the item found names in the parts held, and open earlier ones in turn until one has it: a settle pass answers Paged::Found or Paged::NotFound.

Source

pub fn seeking(&self) -> bool

Whether an item is looked for.

Source

pub fn wants_settle(&self) -> bool

Whether a settle pass has something to do now: a view asks for one (a frame) when this turns true.

Source

pub fn settle(&mut self) -> Paged

Open the part before the oldest held when the reader reached the top or an item is looked for; one at a time, once the last one opened arrived. Run where the app’s records take writes (a settle pass); anywhere else it waits.

§

fn as_any(&self) -> &(dyn Any + 'static)

Convert &Trait (where Trait: Downcast) to &Any. This is needed since Rust cannot generate &Any’s vtable from &Trait’s.
§

fn as_any_mut(&mut self) -> &mut (dyn Any + 'static)

Convert &mut Trait (where Trait: Downcast) to &Any. This is needed since Rust cannot generate &mut Any’s vtable from &mut Trait’s.
