Module enum_field
Expand description
EnumField: a value among an enum’s cases, shown as one fact and picked in its menu.
The field reads as a chip, as a day’s or a person’s does: the glyph of the case it holds, the case’s label, in the tone the case reads in, and the chevron every choice control wears. Pressing it opens the cases under it; picking one writes it into the field it is bound to. It is what a page shows for a field of an enum type without the app drawing anything: the case names itself, and the picker is the cases it declares.
The field never holds the authoritative value: what it shows is the case its binding holds (a described component’s field follows the value the host keeps in step), and an edit goes back through the binding as the case’s name.
